Prayers

 A Firm Foundation

God, my foundation is built on you.
No matter if storms arise, my foundation will not crumble because it is built on rock (Matthew 7:24).
You are my rock I stand on.
I will move through this life unshaken because I know you stand with me.
You are faithful God and no matter what I endure, I want to live trusting you.

I will fear no evil because you are with me.
You will never leave me (Psalm 23:4).
I pray for others in this world who are seeking a firm foundation
I pray that they stand on your word.

Amen.

 

Be Still

There is joy in being still before God. 

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.” - Psalm 46:10

Hear my voice when I call, Lord;
be merciful to me and answer me.
My heart says of you, “Seek his face!”
Your face, Lord, I will seek. – Psalm 27:7-8

Prayer: You alone are God. There is no other. I pray to still myself before you and seek your face. I pray to not to follow the world around me which calls me to rush and busy myself into oblivion. I pray to look to you and know that there is joy, delight and rest in your presence.
